Often while doing bubbles, people ask me how I got into making bubbles.

Many years ago I was visiting my sister Ann and her husband Doug who live in Iowa City. Knowing I was a big kid at heart, they took me to visit a friend of theirs named Mark Gauger who owned a toy store called The Fun Zone. He had all kinds of fun gadgets, and games, puzzles, kites, you name it! The one thing I wanted was the

THE Bubble THING!!! My sweet sister purchased the toy for me for my birthday present. It was a red plastic tube that had a cotton ribbon attached to it. Fortunately I kept that thing around until I became a grandpa. So one day

I got it out, mixed up the bubble solution and brought bubble magic to my grand-kids.

Over the years I’ve learned how to improve my secret recipe and make my own bubble wands. Whenever I do bubbles I feel a sense of peace and joy. I can see the same sense in others when they see my bubbles too! It's magic for the times we live in!
